Your invite will have instructions on how to RSVP. You can RSVP by mail or on this website.

What is the deadline to RSVP?

Your invite will include the deadline.

Are kids welcome?

Yes, kids are welcome! Please do make sure you include them when you RSVP so we can have food and seating ready. If you’re traveling with kids, check out our page of kid-friendly activities in Chicago.

Can I bring a plus one?

All people named on your invite are welcome to attend. If you would like to bring someone not specifically included on the invite, please contact us at [email protected]. While want our friends and family to attend and will do our best to accommodate requests, please keep in mind weddings are expensive and complicated to plan.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Yes we do! You can find it linked on the homepage and here: our wedding registry.

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?

Gifts are not required, you joining us and having a good time is most important! But, if you do bring a gift, we will have a table marked for dropping your gift off.

What is the dress code?

Semi-formal! Don’t worry, this isn’t black tie, but it is also a special day for us. We want you to be comfortable, but look your best too.

What are the wedding theme colors?

Jewel tones, in particular forest green.

Where is the venue?

The ceremony and reception is at the historic Café Brauer located at 2021 N Stockton Dr, Chicago, IL 60614 right in the heart of Lincoln Park. The ceremony will take place at the Honeycomb, a short walk in the park from Café Brauer. We recommend navigating to Café Brauer and walking to the Honeycomb.

Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors at the Honeycomb, also known as the Peoples Gas Pavilion. The cocktail hour will be on the Café Brauer North Loggia which is an outdoor but covered pavilion. The dinner and reception will be indoors in the Great Hall of Café Brauer.

Is the venue handicap accessible?

Even though Café Brauer is a historic building, it is equipped with an elevator and handicap accessible bathrooms. Please contact us if you need an accommodation or have any questions!

Can I take pictures at the wedding?

Yes and no. We ask that no photos or videos are taken during the wedding ceremony itself. We really want everyone to be present. We will have a professional crew capturing the ceremony.

After the ceremony, please take as many photos and videos as you’d like.

When should I arrive?

In general, we recommend arriving around 5 pm so you can get seated and to allow for any delays. Check the event page for the exact schedule. We will add as we get closer to the big day.

What’s the food situation?

Dinner will be served buffet style. We will do our best to accommodate any allergies or dietary restrictions. Please make sure your RSVP information is accurate so we can contact you if we have any questions!

Is there an open bar?

There will be an open bar at the reception. Please don’t forget to tip your bartenders!

Any advice for out of town guests?

We recommend booking accommodations ASAP, as our wedding is the same day as the historic Chicago Marathon. If you have any questions or trouble finding reasonable accommodations or travel arrangements, please contact us.

What else should I do when I’m in town?

Whether it’s your 1st or 40th time visiting Chicago, we’d like to welcome you to this wonderful city! We have a page of Chicago recommendations for when you’re in town.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes, there is parking nearby, but we recommend taking public transit. If you need parking, here are a few lots nearby:

How can I find the best public transit route?

You can use this link to plan a route. Just enter your Airbnb or hotel address to see what the recommended route is. The fare is $2.50 per person and can be paid by any tap-to-pay credit card, as well as Apple Pay and GooglePay. We recommend the Transit app for the best routes and live times.
